Tumblr SEO Request 

Luckily when I thought of the idea for #TumblrTuesday I didn’t define any rules, because now I’m gonna RE-re-blog something. I found Kortina through a search for Tumblr SEO. Since making the changes he suggests below I’ve begun seeing a return of search engine traffic for a few of my recent posts. I’m sure there’s still ways to improve upon my theme, but it’s doing better now thanks to him. Take a look at his suggestions below.

When subscribers consume a tumblr blog via RSS, they end up with the SEO unfriendly versions of links to blog posts (so, if they link to you, the links aren’t as juiced as they could be). It’d be an easy SEO win to syndicate the titleized links via RSS.

Dear Tumblr,

Please make the links in tumblr rss the seo friendly versions! Eg,
http://blog.kortina.net/rss
links to:
http://blog.kortina.net/post/78910981
It would be better to link to:
http://blog.kortina.net/post/78910981/add-the-tumblr-mp3-player-asyncronously

This shouldn’t be hard to change. Thanks dudes!
